We’re screwed!! basically.

I was raised Jewish. That is to say my family of origin is many things, but my stepfather was a Jewish man from the Bronx who made damn sure that I understood what it meant to be Jewish.  The house I grew up in had been owned by neo-nazis before us.  The basement had swastikas scratched into the wooden posts. I think they did it before they sold it to my step father, to remind him that they had been there, and that they were still around.
