Everytime,everytime you settle somewhere, for a few days the hope appear again in your hearth. Maybe that's it? You are finally free? Free to live the life that never should have been so hard to reach..?

Free?

What a joke.

But you can't get free of it. You can't escape it's love. It's gratitude. Its still following,tracking,chasing it never stopped : You know it ; As long as it won't have you, it won't ever do.

Everytime,everytime you settle somewhere for long enough, too long, you can feel the feeling come back. That creeping,crawling feeling that never truly leaves.

You never put a name on it, you tried but only a sentence could truly fit, a sentence that was enough to make your blood run cold.

It's near, and it's getting closer by the second.

You managed to escape it's grasp everytime until now. But everytime, you're a little more short timed, a little less prepared..a little less determined to escape once again. You leave everything you built behind,but not with a goodbye and a hope of seeing it again. You leave,you live: knowing that everything you left behind will dissapear, will be absorbed by it. Dissapear into the system of something you will never be able to understand.

Unlike you, it was getting stronger day by day, absorbing uncountable number of complex organisms,entire ecosystems.

Unlike it, You were slowly losing the flame that allowed you to get in that escape pod so fast that day. Is walking freely in the universe worth it if the trail you leave behind sprout death and destruction? You asked that yourself many time in your preserved loneliness.

The rare people that tried to follow you always dissapeared not much time before the feeling came back. Soon enough you understood that it wanted you to be Alone. Like a predator stopping it's pray from going back to the group, you could'nt even have that.

You once thought it was human, sometimes you think you remember calling it by a name..an almost normal name. you could never be more wrong. The only thing humans it has must be the thousands of corpses reduced to nothing that are now a part of it. Corpses that was once friends and more.

Something else you thought,once,was that it was only a question of tactics. A sort of mind game where you would have to be more intelligent than it. Trick it into loosing your trace.

Its not.

It never was.

Its a question of time.

Not until you finally loose them,

no,

until it finally win you.

Until the chills finally gro trough your entire body as the tent you managed to make in 2 days shake slowly.

Until you panick as you realized that you planned everything wrong, that this time it was truly too late. Or it was truly too early.

Until you realize that maybe time was never truly the question.

Until you understand that it was just playing a game,letting you run off like an owner letting his dog run off a little too far in a supervised park.

Finally, Until its creeping voice sings a name that was never yours.

"Luna...? It's time to go home now.."
