-"I'm not going to help you," I murmured while pointing my sparking finger at Agatha, "every time I go with you, you get me into trouble, the last time I was almost destroyed by animals that I didn't know existed."
The teenager looked at Agatha, they were both at the door of your apartment, you tried to live like a normal person to forget the past, but of course Agatha wouldn't let you.
"Oh come on! You have a lot of potential to be stuck here in the suburbs, what? Pretending that you are an art teacher, it must be a joke," she said, laughing when she saw the amount of materials and brushes that were on my table. At first it seemed fine to you to try to live like normal people, but the dark witch was somewhat right, now your life didn't have much meaning.
"You're an idiot, you know that?" I asked while grabbing my forehead.
"What you see, you don't ask," said Agatha, looking at the teenager. "She is a resentful woman, but whatever, give that to her."
"Oh," said the boy, taking out a post-it note from his pocket, "this is Agatha's address, we will wait for your in the afternoon, some witches have already joined the coven," he said with a nervous smile.
I just looked silently at the boy.
-These witches don't know what they got themselves into.
"We will be waiting for you," Agatha said, interrupting you, "remember that the witches' path offers things that one desires most," she winked as she approached you slowly, "as well as new powersβ¦." she whispered in your ear, "to heal traumasβ¦ or fulfill the thirst for revengeβ¦" she said, winking at you.
When the word revenge left his throat, my face darkened.
"Get out of here," I whispered as I pushed Agatha and the boy backed away scared.
"Goodbye, darling, see you later," the brown witch shouted as she walked towards the stairs of the apartment, "I know you won't fail me."
I sat on my couch and sighed
The worst thing about this whole situation is that even though it seemed to be an invitation⦠this was not, Agatha knew perfectly well that she was weak, that she needed power and that she needed⦠to fix certain things from the past with characters who took precious treasures from her life, to the point that she wished for a long time that she had never been a witch.
_______________
"What are these?" a voice asked.
"They're granola bars," the boy's voice responded enthusiastically.
I walked until I saw a room full of women, there was some food on the table.
"That honestly looks like shit," you said as you looked at the teenager's healthy snacks.
-Until you arrived!- Agatha saw you enter- how elegant you look, it's been many years since I saw you in your witch uniform- she winked at you.
I looked with distaste at Agatha and only pretended disinterest.
My tunic was the same length as her, the difference was the color. Mine was black.
-Maybe what surprises you is seeing me with clothes on- I said winking at her, the brunette choked while Teen gave her a funny look.
"I thought you were friends?" Teen asked.
"For your information, boy, there is no witch in this⦠world who has not kissed another witch, it is a kind of magical attraction, don't think it's a coincidence that they are called sapphic, right?" you said looking around, "Besides, I only see one man here⦠and you are a very⦠particular one."
"Also, it's obvious that no man or witch has passed between you in years, look at those faces," you said, laughing, looking at the others.
"And you are?" asked the hairless (bald) witch.
"Y/N, I'm a Dark Witch," I winked.
"Dark Witch?" everyone asked except Agatha, who just rolled her eyes.
"Yes," I murmured as I sat on the couch.
"What does it mean?" asked the twink-looking boy.
-It means that you are able to steal or control the abilities of other witches and that⦠you have done things with the dark book⦠and that probably had a great cost- A woman laughed bitterly- I am surprised that you say it with so much pride- the voice came from a woman with gray curls and colorful clothing, a hippie I would say.
-And you are⦠a divination witch⦠with good general culture- you said laughing- now, thanks for the introduction, but I don't think it was necessary. That's something they teach you in elementary school, in some school in Salem.
I said looking at her with interest, something about that woman piqued my curiosity.
"Of course it is necessary," that woman murmured. "If we are going with you on the path, we need to know your sins and your curses." I look at you from top to bottom.
-I think that my history and my choices as a witch are not of your concern- I pointed out while raising my finger with sparks- ask Agatha how bad it gets for those who do not know how to keep their noses away from where they are not calledβ¦
Agatha raised her hands
"A knight has no memory," she said, raising her shoulders, "now what I can say is that this is a stubborn witch but that will nevertheless be useful on the path, she is one of the most powerful I knowβ¦. And thatβ¦ I will never repeat it," she said, frowning.
"I'm not interested in your opinions," the woman said, looking at Agatha, "least of all in you, besides, I don't think I'm hurting any sensibilities by asking something that concerns us all, and if you're such a proclaimed witch, then you should tell who you are and what makes you so special."
I stood up suddenly walking towards the witch, slowly reaching out my hand to touch her.
"I don't want to sound strange," I said, laughing perversely, "but I'm in therapy and my psychologist tells me over and over again like a broken record that I must control irritable moments and avoid⦠killing innocent people in a fit of rage, so why don't we start again and introduce ourselves accordingly?" I smiled, having an intention up my sleeve.
"I would listen to that psychologist," said Agatha, nodding, "because honestly you did not see her thousand and one episodes of rage, I remember when I entered a church on Holy Sunday andβ¦" Agatha stopped talking when I stared at her without blinking.
She raised his hands in defeat
Confused, Lilia stretched out her hand and grabbed my greeting. There I could feel and know who this woman was in depth. It turns out that since I made the pact with the book, I couldn't help but feel and see things about the other person when I touched them, it all depended on their mood and concerns. I closed my eyes briefly as I felt her skin. Depressing images of the past flashed through my mind with such speed that I couldn't decipher what this message was, two girls playing in the forest, a fight between friends, a bed, two naked women, a scream and bites everywhereβ¦ why did this woman remind me of my past? from centuries agoβ¦
"You're Lilia Calderu," I said, looking at her from top to bottom, "I see you've been in this world for a while," you said, smiling, "don't get me wrong, you look great, but I think if we're talking aboutβ¦ sacrifices, maybe we should talk about yoursβ¦" I looked at her intently, "although something tells me I know youβ¦"
Lilia quickly let go of your hand and looked at it, then returned her gaze to you.
-So you also guessβ¦or see the future, huh?- she said smiling in a combination of defeat and curiosity- poor witch whose power you took away- she looked at me from top to bottom- I also have the strange feeling of knowing youβ¦
-stealing and using common witch skills is my passion- I interrupted her, walking away from her- but unfortunately, I have already stolen all the possible ones so do not feel threatened, there is nothing in you that I want or need- I looked at the teenager- now boy, in order to calm my outburst and my lack of patience⦠would I ask you the favor of introducing me to the rest of⦠the pack⦠and tell me how long it will take to start with the relevant stuff?
Agatha raised her hand asking permission to speak
-Yes, let's start now! βWe are all,β she said, rubbing her hands.
"That's not true," said Jen, "an earthly witch is missing."
"Didn't you have everything ready, huh?" you said, returning to the couch.
"Technical problems," said teen, looking at Lilia.
-A black heart appeared on the paper. Who is it?
When the question left the older woman's lips, my heart stopped and I looked directly at Agatha who looked away.
"Who is it?" you asked curiously.
"I don't know," said Agatha, looking at the ceiling. "Oh, but I think I know who could help," she said, quickly leaving the house through the (nonexistent) door.
"This is a bad joke," said an Asian woman with black and red hair.
-Oh- said the boy- This is Alice, This is Jen and well, you already met Lilia.
(Liliaβ¦Liliaβ¦. Why did that name seem so special to her?)
You looked at the rest of the witches.
"So," said Jen, looking at the clock, "while we wait for Agatha and her craziness, is it true that you are Agatha's ex?" she said, looking at you curiously, "I mean, because of the clothing jokeβ¦
I laughed hard
-Well, I must confirm that there was history between her and me, but calm down people, nothing romantic- I said laughing.
"Then what?" asked the young man, looking confused.
The older witch laughed, looking at him funny.
"She's talking about sex, kid," she said, staring at me, "apparently that's the only thing that interests younger witches."
The teenager turned red
"Well," you said seriously without looking away from Lilia, "I would say it was more than sex, we have known each other for centuries, we have done atrocities together, however we are not compatible beyond the carnal," I paused, "I don't think it's a generational problem either, since you and I probably don't have that much difference in centuries," you said, laughing, "I feel like we've bumped into each other in the centuries we've been around," you looked at yourself, "however, our appearance is different since⦠making pacts with him." The black book sometimes gives you eternal youth, and even though I look young and pretty - you approached her - don't think that I don't have experience in all aspects of life".
The older woman held your gaze.
"Eh⦠I feel like I'm interrupting something," Alice murmured, "enough of the hate, please."
-READY!-Agatha's voice returned, when I saw her enter with a poor earthly old woman I knew she was only using her as bait.
"Let's get to work," said Agatha, going down the basement stairs.
_______________
Don't ask me how, but after singing like a couple of idiots and running from monsters that I'd rather never encounter, we were here, on the witches' path, looking at each other stupefied.
"Well," you said, "at least it'sβ¦lovely." You looked around at all the weeds and dirt.
"You do have peculiar tastes," Jen said, looking at you and then looking at Agatha.
"What?" she said, looking at you confused, "what did you tell them?"
You just sighed and started walking.
"We must follow the path together," Alice said when she saw that we were all walking at our own pace.
We approached and began to walk in rhythm. There was a strange silence in the place, it seemed like a fairy tale setting.
After walking for a long time and saving Sharon from the mud we were exhausted.
"I think we should rest," Jen said, sitting on a log.
"Me too," Lilia said, sitting on a rock, "I'm not young enough for this," she murmured while touching her head.
-Oh come on, don't act as if you have centuries on your body -said Agatha laughing, all the witches looked at her with a glare -Okay okay, we'll rest but we'll get up early, although I don't even know if it's dawn hereβ¦
"And we're supposed to sleep on the rocks?" Alice asked, standing awkwardly.
"Sorry we don't have a presidential suite for you tonight, but it seems that way," Agatha said, making a face.
-Mmm but we could summon some tents at least-said Teen looking at everyone-It's not a bad idea, right?
Look at the boy
"I'm with him, at least it's worth the try," I said tiredly.
We hold hands and together we conjure up some tents, some snacks and hopefully a mattress for each tent.
When we opened our eyes we saw that there were only 4 stores
"Not bad," Teen said.
-Not bad? This is literally proving that we will have to share
"Oh come on, it's not that bad, you've slept in worse places, Agatha," I told her, remembering those times when we had to sleep on the street or under a bridge running from different dangers.
"TouchΓ©," she murmured softly.
"I ask for the tent alone," said Sharon, entering without asking anyone. "This is payment for kidnapping me," she said, poking her head out of the tent.
"I'm going with Alice," Jenn said running to her tent.
Alice just raised her shoulders.
"I can be with Agatha," said the teen, smiling, "that is, if you don't want to sleep with herβ¦
He point at me, all the remaining eyes watched me
I raised an eyebrow and looked directly at Agatha who blushed at my attention, something that happened years ago between us.
"Absolutely not," we said at the same time.
"Okayβ¦" the boy said, asking for forgiveness, "I don't know about you, Agatha, but I'm going to go to sleep, I'm dead."
The boy entered the tent
I turned around and looked at Lilia.
"Apparently we have to share," I said, trying to sound as least rude as possible.
"Mmm," Lilia murmured, looking at me with curiosity, a little gone.
"Come on in," I said kindly, "I have to talk to this one here."
Agatha looked at me surprised but annoyed.
"I will let you two alone," said the older woman, entering her tent.
I turned around and watched Agatha walk to the side of the road.
Automatically began to follow my step
"What do you need to talk to me about?" she said, sounding disinterested.
"Many things" I sighed "but, for now I just need to tell you that I hope you don't hurt that boy" I stopped and looked at her "I know what you went through with your son" she became serious "and I know that you were not a threat to him, however, I think you tend to⦠expose certain people when you shouldn't be doing so."
"I think you're talking about things that don't concern you," she said, approaching me, "first of all, that "boy" chose to come to this path of his own free will, I didn't force him in any way," she said, getting closer, "on the other hand, you weren't with me during what happened to myβ¦sonβ¦ so don't mention anything about him, you have no damn right."
I raised my arms and grabbed Agatha by the shoulders, calming her down.
"Agatha," I said firmly, "I'm not judging you, I just want you to be careful with the boy, he doesn't deserve everything we bring around us."
She sighed and snatched my arms away.
"Easy for you to say," she said, looking at the ground, "do you think I want to put more young people at risk?" Do you think I wanted to lose my son? -she said turning towards me- yes, I'm a bad witch, but I'm not a monster.
She stood on the verge of crying
-Agatha-I approached and tried to hug her- I only worry about you and the rest, I have a bad feeling about this adventure, believe me.
She let me hug her but quickly walked away
"Don't do that," she said a little more relaxed, "pretend that you're interested in someone other than yourself."
I raise both eyebrows
"Oh, come on," I said, laughing bitterly, "you can't tell me that after everything we've done together."
"I haven't seen you in years," she said, pointing his finger at me, "you never fully defended me, you were never really my friend and you were never really a good lover," he said, throwing his arms up high, "you always leave everything halfway, you left without telling me anything, after what happened with my son I needed you, however, you just left."
Sigh
"Agatha," I whispered, "there are things you don't know about me," I looked at her. "⦠I just want you to know that I regret not being with you in the bad times, but⦠I couldn't continue in that lifestyle anymore, going back to pretending that I was just another human was comforting for at least a while, you know?"
Agatha didn't seem to want to respond.
"I missed you," she said, throwing his arm in the air, "I still miss you."
I looked at her with pity and something else.
"I always will," I said, giving him my hand, "but, we are as compatible as oil and water," I laughed.
"Wellβ¦it's better that we go backβ¦ I don't want Teen to have nightmares and start calling her mommy".
I laughed
"Let's go" I walked next to her
When we got to the tent I hugged her and went into where Lilia was already sleeping. I carefully tried to lie down on the tiny mattress, positioning myself so as not to touch Lilia (which was difficult considering she was already asleep and taking up 80% of the mattress).
And I closed my eyes hoping to rest
________________
When I opened my eyes (too early) I began to feel a comforting warmth. I looked next to me and fell pale, I had completely forgotten that I was here, on the path sharing a bed with Lilia, the divination witch.
I started to feel hot in my body for several reasons. The first, the obvious lack of human contact was having an effect on my unconscious. My right hand was over Lilia's body and hid there deep in the older woman's neckline, I moved my fingers slightly and confirmed that my hand was blatantly on one of her breasts, grabbing a nipple firmly.
Despite the strangeness of the situation I felt that this was familiarβ¦as if it had already happened before
I tried not to move at all, it would be uncomfortable to remove my hand and wake her up. Also, secondly the fact that our bodies were so close like in a spoon position didn't help, I could feel her butt leaning against my groin. Thirdly, my left hand was clinging to her waist and from my angle I could see her cleavage and neck in close-up, so exquisite.
I felt like a vampire about to throw myself on his neck and suck the elixir of life. Suddenly I felt a slight movement from Lilia and a sigh. She woke up.
I closed my eyes quickly pretending to sleep, I felt her move her head observing the situation I had seen a few seconds ago and I felt her tense under my touch.
-What- she murmur surprised.
I held my breath as long as I could, holy shit Merlin, what a shame.
"Y/N?" Lilia asked softly as she tried to keep the position less awkward. Something in his voice sounded so familiar to me⦠a slight agitation and a slight feeling of terror.
I was fighting internally between playing dead or opening my eyes.
Damn I'm an adult, I have to face this situation.
I opened my eyes and made eye contact directly with her eyes as she leaned back with his neck all bent.
Looking at it directly sent me a stimulus down there.
"I think you had a dreamβ¦or something like that," she said nervously, "but, I would appreciate it ifβ¦. You would take your hand out of my breast," she said, looking at me uncomfortable.
Quickly, as if on fire, I pulled out my arm and sat on the bed.
I looked at Lilia in the eyes, she had a blush on her face that ran along her collarbone, I opened my mouth to say something while she fixed her neckline.
"β¦..can I ask a question?" she said, looking into my eyes, blushing and a little agitated.
I nodded without making a sound, my crotch was asking for my attention.
"Why do I feel like⦠I know you?" she said, sitting on the mattress in front of me. "I mean⦠maybe it's silly to ask this⦠after this situation, but I feel like we've experienced something similar."
"No," I said with a tight voice. "I⦠I feel the same way, but I still can't connect the dots," he said, frowning. "Maybe we met during life and it was nothing relevant."
"Do you think?" she said curiously.
-We could check it anyway, there are⦠some spells to see your bond with a person, you know how to do it- you said convinced- however, what seems curious to me is why I don't remember you⦠at all.
Lilia got up
"Iβ¦I think we shouldn't mention this to anyoneβ¦ also, I think we'll need time alone to perform this spell, it could be after the first testβ¦" she said curiously.
Before she left the tent I told her
"I'm sorry if I make you uncomfortable," I said, embarrassed with red cheeks, "it's just that it's been so long⦠years⦠maybe centuries without⦠a person's body next to mine," I said, looking at the ground.
She laughed softly even nervously.
-don't worry-and left the store
Quickly as soon as she left me alone I had to put my hands in my pants and finish the job. I tried to make it easy and quick but my mind played tricks on me, images of Lilia's chest, her neck, her hair or her exquisite butt pressed against mine made me enjoy it tortuously.
There was something about this woman that turned me on inside.
"Damn it," I muttered as I finished that. Shame ran through my body.
After a few minutes I started to feel movement outside and went out to wash my hands in the surrounding water.
Lilia slowly approached me while the others talked about the next steps on the path.
"Is everything okay?" she asked cautiously when she saw me distant.
-Yes, everything is fine- I said a little nervous.
"Hey deaf witches!" Agatha shouted, calling our attention. "It's time to get back on track and find the first damn test."
