Will and Robin's conversations apparently meant nothing?? Why would they have the avalanche conversation and talk about signs only to ignore them in the finale?? What was the purpose

so when finn said that mike’s ending was “bigger than anything he could’ve imagined” he meant that mike would become a depressed homo who lives with his parents writing books about his childhood and looking like his dumb fuck of a dad? conformitygate
