Soul Scouting || Screaming Star
Coffee. Easy! "You just sit tight," Iris says, popping up from her seat, even leaving her coat and bag (besides her wallet). Maybe it was because she knew he was a Scout Talent? In any case, it didn't totally matter. In a moment, she's back with a coffee, small pitcher of cream, and some sugar packets.
"I wasn't sure how you liked it, so I brought some options," she says when she returns. "Now, you said sleep deprived. Is there a particular reason, dear?"

Steve watched her leave and for a moment felt bad for accepting her offer and making her go back up to the counter for him, but then he remembered that that wasn't something he should feel guilty for. She had offered, and this was just what fairies did for each other.
He really had been out of the Hollow too long...
When she returned, Steve gave her a grateful smile. "You're the best, thank you," he said as he motioned for her to join him. There was another plush chair on his right with a coffee table between the two, and it was the least he could do.
Iris's question, though, made him internally wince. Pits, he really had said that out loud, hadn't he? By now, the whole Hollow probably knew the Princess was living with him, and the last thing he wanted was to start a rumor that Atta was an ungrateful guest for 'kicking him out of his room'. He'd been the one to insist that she take it, after all!
Not that he didn't trust Iris, it's just that he knew how gossip grew wings out in Enchantra.
His expression didn't show any of that distress, though, and he grinned at her ruefully. "Just insomnia! I'm still not quite used to the sounds of town at night. Plus," he wiggled in his seat, trying to stretch his spine out, "I think I slept in a weird position. My back is killing me." There, not technically a lie!
"But I'm sure you didn't come all the way to Hatters to hear me complain! How are you, Iris?"
