when i was a high schooler and learning piano from my catholic church’s music coordinator (who was also gay but also an ex-priest and tried to have sex w me later after he survived a heart attack and i got out of the mental hospital) anyways he would let me play piano pieces during mass sometimes and i was learning this pokémon ending and i was like can i play this at mass and he was like omg no. i was like ? and he was like i’m not going to allow you to play a pokémon song during a holy mass. and i had to keep it to myself that EVERY other piece he had let me play was just an arrangement from an anime
