the wikipedia page being called “murder of travis alexander” instead of “jodi arias” is misogyny at its finest

thinking about how much of taissa's storyline has to do with being watched, being looked at, being scrutinized. the man without eyes, the lady in the tree, her taking the eyes out of sammy's doll. and i think it resonates even harder with her being black. her every movement, everything she says is analyzed and watched because she's this successful, "strong" black lesbian woman but even then nobody truly cares about her, they care about what happened TO her. this very traumatic moment in her life being dissected, knowing you'll always be the center of attention but not for your personality or accomplishments, but because people want you to recount your trauma in detail, which is something every black person can identify with when the topic of racism arises; we are expected to dissect our own trauma, reshape and repackage it to cater to an audience who doesn't truly care about us as individuals, but wants to feed their hunger for tragedy and horror while at the same time absolving themselves of it.

obsessed with how this show offers its' characters absolutely zero dignity in death. had a temper tantrum, went outside, fell asleep, died, got cooked in full clown makeup, became a rotisserie chicken for her teammates. and she is the lucky one because at least she didn't slip and fall off the SHIT CLIFF with the SHIT BUCKET in her hands

can we talk about how callie, on realising that she’s actually being used by an undercover cop, tries (and almost successfully) to change the course of the investigation with a plausible lie? and then she immediately tells her parents? there is so much of shauna in her. the tenacity. the ability to deceive. that ferocity that exists under the facade of a teenage girl unconcerned with the world. she’s fighting for her family and she knows the stakes.
