+ Day One: Noh Seungyoon, stage name Noah. Born 1994, Korean. Vocal 1 of Origin, a boy group under Gold Star Media. An egoistic narcissist who acts humble on camera, and seldom takes his âjobâ seriously.
+ Day Two: Despite being born in Seoul, Noah grew up in Europe. Due to his parentsâ careers, he moved around a lot. He never had any real plans as far as career goes. He figured that was something he would figure out during high school, or even university. Going into showbiz was never on the table. His only contact with K-Pop was the brief periods during his summers, and the early 2000â˛s style certainly wasnât for him.
+ Day Three:Â Noahâs path to becoming a trainee is very boring compared to a lot of other idols. He saw an advertisement for the newly formed Gold Star Media, and realized that being a trainee would be an excellent reason to remain in South Korea instead of flitting around Europe. The audition went good, given he was accepted despite auditioning as an actor, and thatâs that. If he could go back, he would do nothing differently.
+ Day Four:Â Noah trained for four years, and in difference to many other idols, he looks back at those years with fondness. Perhaps it is the fact that he never worried about debuting or being the best. After all, becoming a trainee was not about debuting for him. It was merely an excuse to move to South Korea. If he did well that was great, if he did badly that was not the end of the world. In a way, it was his attitude that led to the company giving him a chance to debut, as they didnât have to worry about him having a nervous breakdown.
+ Day Five:Â Noahâs debut was not the first time he performed on a stage, or in front of an audience. Being on a survival show might be hell for some trainees, but for Noah it was a fun experience. He thought of it as something to add to his resume, not a chance to debut. Actually being on the winning team came completely out of the left field for him, and it took quite a while until it finally dawned to him that he was going to debut.
The debut itself, well, he gave no fucks about the song or anything. All in all he was not fond of the concept or the styling, but given he had no experience in production or styling, he just went with it. Looking back on it, he is torn between laughing and cringing. The lyrics are at least quite decent, and they certainly stood out as a group.
+ Day Six:Â Noah is very confident in his ability to pull off any concept. Origin has done some rather diverse stuff over the years, and he has never felt uncomfortable or uncertain about any of it. Except maybe at the start, when the styling made him avoid looking at mirrors. His favorites though has always been and will always be the elegant, sexy, and opulent concepts. Sadly they donât do those very often, given they have a more down-to-earth, humble concept as a group.Â
+ Day Seven:Â Blood, Sweat, and Tears is easy Noahâs favorite era. Runner ups are Spring Day and Fake Love, but everything about their late 2016 comeback was perfect for him. The styling, the song, the music video, the promotions. Soft yet sexy, with an interesting music video, decadent choreography, and all around the feeling of being on top of the world. He had just finished his second drama, which he absolute adored working on, and felt invincible. Sadly they have not done anything similar since then, unless you count b-sides. Black Swan, their new comeback, is somewhat like it but not nearly opulent enough for Noahâs tastes.Â
+ Day Eight:Â Noahâs weaknesses are many. He is not the best dancer, vocalist, or rapper. He is way too full of himself, and he also doesnât take any of this idol stuff seriously. Itâs a scandal just waiting to happen. That said his visuals are amazing, and his acting skills have always been great. Both of those lend themselves well to creating his idol persona, as well as doing at least decent on variety shows. Not that he could ever do anything wrong in the eyes of their fans.
+ Day Nine: If it was up to Noah, he would just wear historical clothing every day. He loves the draping fabric and attention to detail, even the over-the-top hats. However you can only be so eccentric as a public figure, and thus he sticks to the modern version of royal garments - suits. Itâs rarer to find a picture of Noah in sweats than in a three piece suits, and in a way, it is marketing. Posting a pictures of himself in casual wear is bound to explode within minutes, and when you crave attention as much as Noah, that is a win-win situation.
+ Day Ten:Â Noah is not overly close to anyone, or at least thatâs what he tells himself. He doesnât have any friends who are not famous, and would throw them out in heartbeat if they decided to retire from showbiz. He chooses who he keeps around carefully, looking for individuals with some but not too much overlap, so their friendship can result in more fans for the both of them. Most of the people he is close to he got to know after 2015, but there are some exceptions.Â
+ Day Eleven: Noahâs reputation is a clean as it can be. He has been affected a bit by the accusations that have hit Origin, but as an individual, he is careful not to ruin his place at the top. In general he thinks people who get caught in scandals are stupid, and have no self-control. For idols and most people in showbiz, especially in South Korea, having a good image and clean reputation is a must. Making it mainstream is practically impossible otherwise.
+ Day Twelve: The best thing about Origin is that with other members being amazing at dance, vocals, and rap, Noah doesnât have to pull any weight on the tracks. He can just do his best, trudge along, and the fans will love it. He also likes the fact that several of the members are involved in making their songs, as it means he can give them more direct feedback, and donât have to deal with another fool trying to give him too high parts. On stage, they are a team, they have each others backs. If heâs having a bad day, the cameras will just find someone else to focus on. That is not to say he likes the members on a more personal level - theyâre useful, not invaluable.
+ Day Thirteen: The biggest challenge about being in a group, to Noah, is standing out. He struggled a bit with that at the start, given how far behind he was in terms of talent, but eventually he became more known for his visuals and acting, and that was that. Thereâs also sharing space that wasnât the easiest. Barely any place one could be alone, always someone around. Being around the same six people for seven years has both its good and bad parts. Especially during travel, Noah just wishes he could be miles away from these people.
+ Day Fourteen: Noah knows full well that he would probably have done mediocre at best as a soloist. For one he would have to be forced into that type of thing - acting is his thing, not music. You can only go so far without something that makes you stand out, and while he is confident on being able to do that now, he is certain he would have never gotten this far on his own. The type of male soloists that does well are the ones that are either great with singing, or rapping, and Noah isnât that skilled in either. Maybe Gold Star Media would have found a niche for him, some sort of eclectic concept, but honestly he doubts they would have made the effort.
+ Day Fifteen: At the start of his career, Noah looked up to his CEO a lot. A group member turned actress and soloist, that is the career he wants. Running a company as a woman in a male dominated industry, that is something he can admire. Nowadays though, with Origin standing above everyone, Noah looks up to no one but himself. His ego wouldnât allow him to.
+ Day Sixteen: Noah would never lower himself to willingly perform with anyone but Origin, but if he had to choose it would probably be Femme Fatale or Gold Star Mediaâs first soloist. Both are extremely popular, and have concepts that he likes. Another option he may go for is whatever rookie male idol is currently popular - stealing peopleâs fans is a hobby of his, and some getting some eye candy is never wrong.
As for songs, probably one of Origins, or whatever is trending at the moment. Noah is not a picky one - the only thing that matters to him is what song would draw the most views.
+ Day Seventeen:Â Acting lends itself well to variety, if you have half a brain. Talking shows are Noahâs forte, especially if he is joined by other idols. As a senior, he knows what image to present, and what questions to ask. It honestly isnât his thing though, but given the viewership, it is something he accepts is necessary if you want to be popular. More active shows is his bane, especially those that film practically 24/7. Thankfully the company has figured as much, and doesnât make him go on those.
+ Day Eighteen: Noah is a part of Gold Star Media, and he honestly likes it there. He likes most of the groups and soloists under the umbrella, especially Femme Fatale. He gets along well enough with most of his label mates, at least on camera. In private, well, there are very few of them he deigns taking his time to even acknowledge most days. Sure, they are popular, but most of them are nowhere near his level of popularity.
+ Day Nineteen: Noah has already gotten into acting, and he loves it. Being a part of epic stories, getting to wear fancy clothes, spend time on beautiful sets. Itâs the perfect life for him, and if not for Originâs busy schedule, he would be picking up a lot more projects. He has considered releasing a solo song or two, but never figured out a concept or idea he wanted to pursue. Musicals is also something he has had on his mind, but acting on camera is his preference.
+ Day Twenty:Â Noah is already in a supergroup, but if he would be able to make his own group, he would definetly make a co-ed one. A lot of BC Entertainment idols interest him, but he also wants a small group, so probably just a couple from one or two groups over there, and a couple from Gold Star Media. The only Dimensions Entertainment group he likes is Lucid, but imagining being in a group with such an age gap has him cringing. Obviously the group would do very well, given that is the only important thing to Noah. They would not go for international markets though, as Noah absolutely despises having to travel around the globe so much.
+ Day Twenty-One: Noah loves his fans, because it is through them he has gained recognition and wealth. With how popular Origin is, and how infamous their fanbase is, it would be impossible not to gain any sasaengs. Noah leaves those for the company to deal with though. They donât bother him much, until his privacy gets invaded. Having people sharing his personal phone number, or trying to get into his hotel room really gets on his nerves, but at the same time he accepts that this is the price on has to pay for fame. He is very careful not to encourage their worst tendencies though, as the fandomâs bad reputation is going to affect his own to some degree.
+ Day Twenty-Two: Noahâs goal is the moon and the stars. He wants to find out of far his fame can reach. He wants to be someone that people use as an example of an extremely popular actor and idol for years to come. He wants to be the king in a drama, or an emperor. He wants to win awards for his acting, he wants to gain even international recognition for his works. For Origin, he just wants them to go back to promoting mainly in South Korea, and stop pandering to the western fans.Â
+ Day Twenty-Three: Noah honestly doesnât understand how any popular idols find time for dating. He also doesnât understand why they would risk their careers for something as fleeting. They knew what they signed up for when they became a trainee, and especially for group members, itâs selfish to start pursuing a relationship when your actions could be the downfall of the whole group. Maybe one day when he is no longer an idol he could consider it, but finding someone he would stand dating is a whole other struggle.
+ Day Twenty-Four:Â Noahâs ideal type is someone very famous, beautiful, and rich. Someone likes himself really. Someone who doesnât care about being humble or genuine, someone who doesnât take it all too seriously. He wants to be able to be himself around this person after all, and someone who would run screaming if he showed his true self would be counter intuitive. Someone who is very tease-able, and enjoys physical contact would be nice as well, as Noah is a very touchy person who loves making people tick. He doesnât hold any hopes about ever finding such a person though, nor does he care.
+ Day Twenty-Five:Â Noah wants to remembered for his visuals, his professionalism, and his acting. He wants to be a style icon really, someone timeless. Given he knows he doesnât have much talent in vocals or dancing, and doesnât really care about that. Talent is a dime a dozen - the attitude to make it big is rarer.
+ Day Twenty-Six: Noah has never regretted becoming an idol, though he does miss having his own space at times. That has gotten better after moving out of the dorms though. Sometimes he thinks about what his life would have been if he had not seen that advertisement, and the idea chills him. He is not someone made for a ânormalâ life, and so far, everything has been perfect for him. The only thing he would change is to mentally prepare himself for success better. Despite his reactions garnering him much popularity and love, he still finds it humiliating.
+ Day Twenty-Seven: Noah would throw his phone in the sea, and go relax on beach somewhere with no one bothering. He honestly doesnât care where, as long as it is warm and quiet enough. If you ask him during a hot summer though, he would want to go to a cabin up in the mountains instead. Sitting in front of a warm fire with a script and cocoa sounds like a dream to him. To be perfectly honest though, he would prefer working on a drama over a vacation.
+ Day Twenty-Eight:Â The worst part of Noahâs life is easily his childhood. He hated moving around so much, never properly settling. He could never make friends, too isolated and awkward. Not forming any lasting bonds at this stage of his life really hurt his social development, and he still holds resentment towards his parents for caring more about their careers than their child. As a trainee, he threw himself at social aspects, forcing himself to pick up all the knowledge he had missed out on. It was not a fun process, one he cringes at looking back, but it was necessary. Luckily, having a slightly sad background did help him in gaining fans as a rookie.
+ Day Twenty-Nine: The two moments that has stood out the most to Noah is when his team won the survival show, and when Origin got their first win. Both took a while for him to process. He never imagined he would be a very popular idol, or even an idol at all, and thus never prepared himself mentally for the possibility. It filled him with joy though - how can one not be happy when met with success? He finds himself reliving those moments when choosing new projects, comparing the emotions as to see if it is worth his time and effort.
+ Day Thirty:Â Noah canât imagine himself outside of showbiz. Thereâs always acting roles to be found for any ages, as well as other avenues in variety, MCing, and modeling. Ten years from now, he wants to be on a historical set, dressed in the garb of a prince, reading lines from a script that has potential to smash the ratings. Settling down is never been on his mind, and he doubts it will ever be.
