Generational wealth, over centuries, in the trillions, is the construct we all battle.

Conservative US Catholics see fascism as their savior. Trauma is the gospel.

Molesting kids not a problem. Raping kids not a problem. Increasing suicide rates not a problem.

Banning abortion for US Catholics is a forced burden to remove decisions that could empower women. Save women. Protect women.

For power is zero sum for US conservatives: if women are gaining power/autonomy, men must be losing power.

The narrative was horrible to begin with.

If someone's house burned down, do we ask if they can afford the fire department?

If one house can be saved, and all the adjacent buildings can be saved, we see that as a good proposition. No one goes bankrupt or loses all their possessions. The cost of the fire department is socialized.

Same thing with health care. By keeping one person healthy, you are helping a family, you are helping parents. If everyone could avoid medical bankruptcy, no one would lose their savings, their homes.
