      “ right--just a minute! “ jackie called from the back of her flat while she rung her hands dry, having to had just finished doing the dishes. now who could that be? hopefully no door to door salesmen. coming here to a place like this... the nerve. well she’d have a few choice words for them when she was ready. 

    sighing, jackie peeped through the door hole, immediately gasping and flinging open the door.

         “ hello ! “ she practically shrieked, putting her hands on either side of his face and giving him a kiss on the cheek. at first she didn’t even notice the flowers. 

            “ valentine’s day? “ she stopped and looked puzzled. oh that’s right. was just around the corner wasn’t it? 

          In her thoughts, she had noticed the flowers, painted hand pressing on her chest. “ those for me?! “ giggling gleefully while taking them, eyes sparkling while she admired the bouquet. “ am I free on valentine’s day? hah! you make me laugh. “ 

        she had dedicated all her time to her daughter, not much room for dating at the moment. cam lived near by and was incredibly sweet.

        God this guy was weird. HARMLESS but weird. All his followers were, too. But hey. Free place to stay and free meals. No one really wanted to look at these freaks so it was safe to say she’d be rolling with them for a while to lay low. Overwhelmed by their group praising of the ‘prophet’, their tears and screaming, June slipped away and went up the stairs, giving a heavy sigh while digging in her bra for a pack of cigarettes. 

      Shoving open the french doors to the top balcony, June leaned against the pillar, lighting the rolled tobacco and giving a deep inhale, the familiar flame lighting at the end and falling to the ground. It kind of reminded her of how people treated her and her family. History repeats itself, she guessed. 

       “ eeeeuuuhhh--- could be worse. “ he shrugged, sitting on the tattered looking seat by the console, legs crossed on the board. 

        “ You could have managed to end up like Jack. Which---” his features lit up, laughing a little. “ I was NOT expecting--- “ giving his finger a wag. 

      The TARDIS whirred and the engine column bounced up and down, the Doctor holding the lever down with all of his might. “ COME ON! COME ON, OLD GIRL! “ slipping down slowly while the machine rumbled and vibrated with all her might. She was upset about something. Fighting where he wanted to go, per usual. 

       Sparks flew and the ship jolted on its side, throwing the time lord off of the controls and into the wall. With a yell, the TARDIS felt like it was falling, red lights flashing and cloister bell ringing.

        The ship made the familiar settling noise that they had landed, the Doctor craning his neck to see if it was safe. He was curled up against the wall, exhaling heavily before flashing a smile. Well.... that was something. A fun something.

       Running a hand through his hair and exhaling, he pulled himself up, practically skipping back to the console to check the basics. He wouldn’t look where she brought him. Surely it was meant to be a surprise.

     Chuckling, he slipped on his purple tweed coat and headed out, the door creaking shut behind him. 

       Rubbing his hands, he bee lined for a random hallway of a home before stopping, brows furrowing. This smelled and tasted a lot like London. Well that wasn’t any fun. Nor a surprise. 

       Shoulders dropped and he began to physically droop, tensing when the sound of clanking kitchenware caught his ears. Oh my. This was someone’s home.

        Creeping forward, fists clenched and thumbs nervously traced each knuckle, breathing light while he peeked his head around the corner. The sight of the familiar blonde made his eyes widen, back flattening against the wall. 

     “ Lucy-- “ he breathed in disbelief, those memories from so long ago bursting into his subconscious. 

Lucy Saxon. 

      Oh--why had she brought him here? WHY? I mean--there was a clear reason as to WHY, but he’d broken into her home. He had to make this as casual as he could. 

      Cringing, he peeled himself from the wall and revealed himself, still nervously clenching his fists.

“ Lucy... “ He asked quietly, trying his best to ease the tension of a stranger in her home.
