It’s set in the batcave in the afternoon and dick has just gotten back from school and wants to show smth to Bruce. Meanwhile Bruce’s teammate Hal from the newly formed justice league is in Gotham with Ferris Air. Bruce asked Hal for his opinion and expertise on some alien matter so he’s invited him to the cave to go over the data. Dick hasn’t met Hal yet because the justice league is so new, and he hasn’t been part of any of the missions so far - he knows of GL and thinks he’s awesome, so he’s really shocked and excited.

HI THANK YOU FOR ASKING ME THIS!! I'm incredibly abnormal about them, and I'm kinda struggling to answer this ask just because I have so many thoughts LOL.

I got into clollie around a year ago when I was super duper offline and ended up rereading Green Arrow (2001) and kinda fell in love with their dynamic at least on a surface level. Literally the only reason I'm posting now is because I genuinely need people to get more into them and their dynamic #Immediately. I think what made me really curious abt them is how badly Clark kinda wants to be friends with Ollie/get Ollie to like him and how seemingly oblivious Clark seems to Oliver's resentment of him LFMAO. Like, yeah, I get this is played off for jokes and is oversimplifying but it was my initial impression and, from reading, this aspect of their dynamic is pretty consistent. Clark annoys Oliver, Oliver is constantly snapping at him/brushing him off/calling him a facist/so onn LMFAO.. but never genuinely getting to a point of hatred and even noting a couple of times how frustrating it is that Clark is so so hard to hate. I think my fav instance of this is Clark kinda badgering Ollie about making a really important shot (World's Finest issue 250 1941) and how quickly Oliver gets heated with him for just not knowing when to shut up. I like, on the other hand, that Clark almost admires (? I feel like that isn't the right word) Ollie, and genuinely gets excited to see and hear from him even outside GA 2001 (No, Grell's and Dixon's respective runs on him, along with their Clark characterization, doesn't exist to me. It's made up. There is no war in Ba Sing Se. Clark has never called Oliver Pathetic or Embarassing What Are You Talking About HaHa. <- also. editing this back I want to say I've reworked this in my brain and I need someone to remind me to talk about that..) It's nice to see that, esp in a lot of pre-crisis comics, Clark really loves/appreciates him even if you interpret it as platonic, and despite the fact that Oliver is really mean to him LOL. I love their weird dynamic so much it's so funny and endearing.

Outside of canon interactions (and despite like literally making my entire internet persona centered around ClarkOllie) I kinda have a hard time explaining my thoughts/ideas abt them outside of canon LOL. You'd have to kill Lois Lane AND Lori Lemaris AND Lana Lang before I put Clark into a relationship with another character in canon... #BUT I do try and work my way around a lot of it and I guess like.. play with them like Ken Dolls. I do enjoy a "last men standing" kind of relationship for them, I am working on a fic where Clark aging so slowly in combination with Oliver being revived at a much younger age than a lot of the other leaguers left them as kinda the last remaining heroes of their generation who respond wildly differently to that circumstance. I enjoy playing around with them pre crisis, I'm a big sucker for mistaken identity semantics, Clark hating Ollie but liking GA and (obviously) vice versa. Fawkk I have so many other ideas but they're lost to me RN.
