7 years is a long time. A lot of fights, tears, laughter, and love. It’s weird when you realise that the most important person to you is someone who hasn’t always been in your life. We were talking about it yesterday, and it doesn’t feel like it’s been 7 years. But at the same time, it feels like we’ve always just been together since the beginning of time. I still get butterflies when we kiss. I still catch myself staring at him, because my brain cannot comprehend that he is real and so completely wonderful. He is an absolute saint for sticking around this long, despite my mental illnesses that don’t make things easy. I have done so much growing in the past 7 years, and I have him to thank. I feel so lucky and so blessed to know him. YALL. I have been waiting for this book for literally 6 months. It’s taken so long because it’s the first edition, and I am absolutely blown away. The book has a velvet cover, it’s HUGE, and also came with prints, a booklet, even a funerary sash. It’s full of post mortem photos and information, it is so fucking beautiful. The way we deal with death is so different from how we used to. I have always said that when I die, I want post mortem photographs with all my loved ones, one last time. I have been thinking about death a lot, between so many people dying from COVID, learning a friend passed away, and my own debilitating fear that I could die at any second. This book is weirdly very comforting. It was a very expensive treat to myself, but I have zero regrets.
