Demigods. Those unnaturally created hybrids of gods and regular Pokemon?

Much of this Pokémon’s purpose is rather unique to this universe, so I’m unsure as to how helpful it will be to you.

Shaymin was created as the servant of a now ‘dead’ semi creator god, Gaia, in much the same capacity that Hoopa and Celebi are servants of Palkia and Dialga respectively, and served as a lesser god that brought life in it’s wake and in Hisuian times was associated with the coming of Spring.

Like the deity they were made to serve, Shaymin is directly responsible for the development and manifestation of plant life, and Shaymin itself has such potent power as to create plant life wherever they walk. Being so imbued with power has caused Shaymin to remain stationary within a few certain spaces during the passing of other seasons just so they do not interfere with the a seasonal cycle. One of those spaces is a hidden ‘garden’ within Sinnoh, hidden to humans and Pokemon alike unless Shaymin has deemed them worthy of their presence. Another place is within the sky.
