Infinite

Prologue:

I loved him with my broken heart.

There was nothing left but ashes and the trails of misery that the whirlwind of pain left behind, but even after the dust settled I still loved him. I know better, well I knew better than to risk it all but it didn’t stop me from putting all my chips in and betting on him. No matter how far he ran away I was right there always catching up to him, when he thought I couldn’t handle everything that came with this life…

I still loved his broken soul, even when he thought there was nothing left. We weren’t meant to be together forever, but every night alone made me feel otherwise.

        “Was it all worth it?”

A question that everyone kept asking me, in retrospect, I knew it was to knock some sense in my desperate mind but I was a girl in love. He was a boy questioning if he was worthy of love and I was there answering that question for him every night. But with the dust settled, and there is nothing but scorched earth; I still found my broken pieces to love him with it.

We met in passing, and again in the present sadly during each time the universe plotted against us.

I should of known better but there was a gravitational pull between us that made me fall for him even more. So why fall back?

Why?

Because in the end he chose the one who called for his heart even more.

I was just the girl in the coffee shop he was never supposed to get serious.

That’s the thing with gravity, it pulls you in when you least expect it.
