Calixta Spear

Mathias took a few deep breaths to calm his temper. It wouldn’t do him any good to let his temper have the est of him. He would much rather turn her in alive. But if killing her was on the agenda….then Mathias had to admit, he didn’t really feel that broken up about it. Adhemar and Verena would completely understand. Shaking his head, he ignored her for the moment, letting her think he wasn’t going to do anything. Let her be fooled for the moment. He mumbled something under his breath as he paced, slowly getting closer to her without her realizing it. Before he gave her a chance to react, he lunged taking her to the floor and placing the tip of his knife against her neck. “You are such a little fool, Calixta. And that, my dear, is going your downfall.” He whispered, digging the tip of the blade into her flesh.

“You didn’t have too, love. Your eyes did it for you.” Mathias shrugged, not really caring about her denials. He got the answer he was looking for. Moving to stand, he stretched before e next words had his blood running cold. It took him a moment before the words registered but when they did all he saw was red. She was behind Evgeniya’s sudden sickness. Flexing his hands, he slowly turned to face her. “Repeat that one more time. Just so I know I heard you correctly.”

Mathias froze, staring at the blade that was embedded in the wall behind him. He couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped him, knowing she wouldn’t find him laughing amusing. Turning back to face her, he let his gaze roam over her body, a brow arched at her comment. “You seemed to be interested just a few moments ago before I denied you. I understand though. You have to save that delicate ego of yours.”

“Yeah… you are.” She smiled as she felt his grip on her hair tighten. The sudden forcefulness of his strength turned her on slightly and she wriggled in his lap a little. “You don’t?” 

“I’m glad we both understand that.” Mathias grinned, moving to stand, keeping her in his arms as he straightened. “Nothing against you, Lix. But I’m really not interested in fucking you.” He informed her, turning and dropping her back on the couch before moving away from her. 

“Whether I started it or not. What makes you think I want to finish it now? Who says you have what I want?” Mathias asked, sliding his hand into her curly hair and yanking her head back a bit too roughly. “Calixta, I could give two shits whether or not, I’m rude to you or not. I could less if I hurt your feelings. You should know I’m a bastard, babe.” 

“And you think that I’m going to simply finish it after all this time?” Mathias asked, raising a brow at her as he waited for her next move. If she thought he was going to be easy, then she was going to be highly upset when she realized things were not going to go her way. “You survived just fine when I left. So don’t play that pitiful card. It really doesn’t suit you.”

Mathias knew exactly which encounter it was, but knew it would piss her off if he played stupid on it. It was one of the few encounters that he deeply regretted. He watched as Calixta walked over to him and straddled him. He kept still as she leaned towards his ear. He chuckled at her words, loving how she thought he was going to be so easy. “And what? You think now is the time for us to finish? That would be enjoyable for you, now wouldn’t it? Tell me one good reason why I should ‘finish it’?” 

“I’m sure if I actually gathered the information from previous acquaintances around her, I’m sure I would have enough to have you killed.” Mathias stated, very calmly, not really paying her much mind now. His mind was too busy plotting. He raised a brow at her last statement, a smirk on his face. “Oh sweetheart, I don’t even remember that encounter. Are you sure if was even me? Or do you have me mistaken for someone else? I’m sure if we fought, you wouldn’t be breathing right now. So why don’t you try something else.”   

calixta--spear:

“You don’t trust me cause you got caught with me. Admit it.” Calixta smiled at him brightly as she turned to face him. She watched him remove his coat and shook her head with a sigh. “It’s not that I don’t trust you…. but I really don’t have a reason to. To be honest.”

“It has nothing to do with that. It has a lot to do with that fact that you are so secretive and I know you had something to do with a few of the disappearances around here. So don’t even think of playing coy with me.” Mathias glared at her. “I’m pretty sure if we look hard enough, we can find a whole boat load of damning evidence.”

calixta--spear:

“I thought I would have been too. You can thank your sister for keeping me here.” Lix muttered sitting in front of the dwindling fire. She couldn’t be bothered to keep an eye on him. He wasn’t important enough. “You seem awfully suspicious Mathias. Calm down boy I ain’t gonna hurt ya.” She laughed as she put her mess of curls up. “I’ll flatter myself all I want.”

“What does my sister have to do with this?” Mathias asked, watching her take a seat like she didn’t have a care in the world. Rolling his eyes, he moved to lean against the couch. “It’s not that I am suspicious. It’s that I don’t trust you.Like I am sure you do not trust me.” He shrugged, taking his coat off and laying it next to him.  

Mathias groaned, closing his eyes as he realized who was in the house with him. “I thought you were long gone by now.” Mathias stated, moving to the living room. He eyed her as he made his way, keeping her in his sight. “And you would think you would learn to stay off private property. But obviously not. Last time I checked this place was unoccupied. I wasn’t coming here for you. So please don’t flatter yourself.” 

A trip to the house on the hill was exactly what Mathias needed. The place was special to him in many ways than one. Pulling his coat on, he slowly made his way towards the house, his mind on a million different things. He had too much on his mind, stressing him out to the point he just wanted to say fuck it all and leave. But he knew he couldn’t do that. There were too many unsolved things floating around the castle. Making his way outside, he noticed that the sky was darkening, indicating that it was probably going to storm. He hoped it would pass. He didn’t really want to get caught in the rain.
