Everything just to get over you, and the bond you both once had.
You scent, your voice, your laugh, your smile, everyting. He couldnt just get over it, not when you were there for him when his parents werent, when his friends werent around and was dealing with their own problems. You were there. With him.
But you were gone. And he always blamed himself, because he wasnt there for you when it happend.
He wasnt there. Unlike you were, he wasnt there for you to lean onβ No. He wasnt there when you needed someone, no. He was too busy on something irrelevant.
And it was haunting him, every night, when he closes his eyes all he can think about is how he wasnt there when you got in that accident. And he'd hear that same faint 'ring' sound from afar.
The same sound when your parents told him.
Told him that you were dead.
He opened his eyes, looking to his side just to see your figure...
The lights were dim, creating a more scarier and terrifying atmosphere.
His body froze, his heart pounding out of his chest, he opened his mouth Butβ no words came out. He was too stunned. Too afraid to do so.
He could only stay frozen, forcing his voice to come out.
Your stare was hollow, not like your usual stare, the light in your eyes weres erased.
He closed his eyes, tears prickling at the corners as he turned away.
"i thought you loved me, jay..."
Your ghostly voice whispered on his ear behind him.
He was already trembling from fear, his jaw chattering as tears were uncontrollably falling.
He mumbled softly, even stuttering cutely.
"I-im so-orry i wa-asnt thereβ"
"Your sorry wont being me back."
"This is all your fault."
He opened his eyes, terrified as he look from the corners of his eyes, seeing your ghostly figure find amusement in his fear.
"I-i really am sorry, Iβ"
He felt your arms around him from behind, like the heavy grief he was carrying.
"Youre just scared... Your guilty?"
He couldnt speak, he couldnt swallow the lump in his throat, he couldnt move.
He was paralyzed from fear, his mind exhausted from your hauntings every night.
His exhaustion was evident, from his tired eyes, his often zoned out mind, his failing grades...
As he opened his eyes, you were infront of him now, looking at him with your hollow eyes.
"Why are you scared, jay?"
Your cold hands held his warm cheeks, your thumbs wiping his hot tears away.
"You know i wont hurt you..."
It felt like an empty promise, bound to be broken by the ghost making the promise.
You held him close, his face pressed on the same soft chest he once laid upon everytime he needed rest.
He didnt want to move, he chose to.
He wrapped his arms around you, hugging you as if you were a porcelain doll, but the longing was there, it was evident.
He questioned between soft sobs.
Your haunting voice ringed in his ears, he tightened his hug around your waist slightly.
"Ill always be here to remind you."
He strangely found comfort in that, his tremors were soothed barely.
He felt you hold his cheeks again, making him look up at you, you slowly leaned in to kiss him.

- This is my first time writing about gried, i was originally gonna add smut but i personally feel like it would ruin it, so i replaced it with a lil comfort.
