I can't believe I fell for this kind of hollow strawman back in the day. I knew that sexual exploitation literally rewires the brain, I knew that women were being killed and controlled in theocratic fascist states, but I still judged the character in the middle. This is so fucking similar to the feeling of validation you have as an ED sufferer when someone shows concern for your weight. At my worst someone could’ve looked me square in the eye and said “you are repulsively thin” and I would been over the moon. The similarities between ED behaviours and gender dysphoria behaviours is uncanny. And proves this is a sick sick sick mental illness. Espeically considering the fact these mother fuckers don’t even care that REAL women get abused like this. They fucking put on their little girly voice -which is painfully obvious to women - get screamed misogynistic abuse and think its a fuckinf prize. Truly, these mother fuckers deserve no pity. While women and girls are the primary victims of prostitution, I do want to make it clear that I hate female pimps, too. I hate madames or whatever they call themselves. I hate the women with an OF who glamorize the lifestyle and push it onto impressionable teenage girls. And while I hate the men who pay for sex and the men who sell women and girls to other men most of all, that does not mean I don’t hate the women who are complicit in the oppression of other women.

This was the very first thing that clued me in to the fact that maaaaaybe there was something rotten in the messaging I was getting about feminism vs. trans activism btw.

As a detransitioner, I was around a lot of trans women when I started detransitioning. Trying to relearn how to "be a woman" within a culture where female isn't enough, from a bunch of males in costume, was so toxic. I learned that being a woman was mini skirts, makeup, lingerie, and wishing for a new body. Sexualizing myself would make me a real woman. I would post nudes on reddit like my autogynephillic friends to get approval of my femininity. Just like before transitioning I felt like I was trying so hard just to be a girl, I started doubting everything again. I felt "sexy", but also so displeased with everything about myself, I could never stop trying to be good enough or perform it better. They all looked so happy! I wanted to try to be a woman like them, one excited about my gender, but then I realized; I was learning womanhood from a fetish community, and I would never be happy performing it because I did not have that fetish. Now that I've learned woman is just female, I am actually comfortable, even happy, in the body I'm in. Woman is just female, the only reason it's horrible is what the world we live in puts us through.

Can't believe women are genuinely supposed to believe they have 5-7 years worth of value in adult life. 5 years of adulthood where you're considered valuable. and coincidentaly it's the same years where you're confused, insecure and have low self esteem lol

If it makes you feel any better, society never actually considers them to be valuable. They care about what you can do for them, your appearance, ability to give birth, your naivete, but they never actually value or respect you. So don't worry about it, and try to be happy. The people who matter won't constantly try to ''humble'' you or make you feel insecure.
