1. the back draft that takes me out into the ocean spinning me around and around till i don’t know which way’s up. a gentle kiss to my lips and i get a rush of oxygen. Like the mermaids who give the princes kisses in fairy tales, i can breathe under this current. i close my eyes and sink. find my new home at the bottom of the ocean.

2. do you know what it feels like to burn? to be consumed in a never ending fire that can’t be sated. do you know what it feels like to love? because i do, i’m better at it than you because when i love i love with the same energy as a hydrogen bomb going off in your backyard. and none of us will survive this catastrophe. don’t get too close, but also don’t go too far where i can’t follow.

DON’T OBSESS! If they haven’t answered you yet, they’re probably busy. If they leave you on seen, they probably couldn’t think of a response or felt like that was a good stopping point. If they haven’t talked to you all day, wait for it…………….. they’re probably busy. Chill!!!

DON’T SPEAK FOR THEM! This doesn’t mean literally (though that isn’t great either), it means don’t have conversations in your head and pretend like that’s their actual view on whatever the topic was. This is a SUREFIRE way to get Fucked Up, because if you’re expecting a reaction, you’ll do anything it takes to avoid that reaction and then the topic will never get brought up and you’ll continue to panic and be miserable over nothing.
