Goncharov (1973) dir. Martin Scorsese
“The greatest mafia movie (n)ever made.”
Happy 3rd birthday to @beelzeebub’s movie poster, and to the collective imagining of Goncharov (1973). Please enjoy these peak gonchposts:
How it all began—preserved for posterity by @loseremo
The lore—gathered by @thefiresontheheight
More lore. And also memes—by @tsscat
The Main Theme—by @caramiaaddio
The rest of the soundtrack (it is extensive)—collected by @thisisnotjuli
…and a snapshot of the fanart as it was unfolding.
Happy Goncharov to all who celebrate. Go forth and gonch to your heart’s content 🕰️🗡️🌹🕴️📿👠

Heads up, travelers! Starting today, Aug. 11, TSA checkpoints at SEA are changing screening types. Check which ones offer TSA PreCheck, CLEA
What's the process if you're a superhero and you come out as trans
Do you tell your villains?
Do you keep it a secret so no one can connect Spider-Man with your secret identity for a while? Or do you pop a pronouns pin on your costume and the next time you web up Doctor Octopus and he goes "I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME SPIDER-MAN" you go "Spider-Girl actually! I've been figuring out some shit"
"Listen for Christ's sake we're a modern paper. Parker - Parker get in here - this is Madeline Parker, came out three months ago. Best photographer we've got. We're proud to have her on board. We at the Daily Bugle are proud to support the LGBTQ+ community bUT THIS SPIDER-GIRL IS A MENACE"
Overwhelming consensus on this post is that you should come out in your superhero identity first, and then a couple weeks down the line come out in your secret identity and when people ask just go “Oh seeing Spider-Girl come out really gave me the confidence to come out myself” which is the best possible answer

I mean
#genuinely; why THIS SPECIFIC error #what the fuck happened to cause this (via @royalninja)
In brief, when your web browser asks a web server for content, the two parties engage in a process called "content negotiation".
As part of this process, the request sent by your browser includes one or more "Accept headers", which outline what types of content your browser would consider to be acceptable responses to that request.
For example, your browser's request might include the Accept header "Accept-Language: de", indicating that it's expecting to receive a response in German, or the Accept header "Accept: image/jpeg", indicating that it's expecting to get a JPEG image back.
The server may choose to strictly respect the request's Accept headers, treat them as suggestions, or disregard them entirely and send whatever it wants in response to your browser's request. Likewise, if your browser gets back something it didn't expect, it could handle it in a number of different ways.
Error 406 is a server-side error which indicates that the server is unable to produce any content satisfying the Accept headers of your browser's request; the name of the error, "Not Acceptable", is somewhat misleading, because it makes it sound like the request itself was unacceptable, when what it actually means is that the server was unable to produce an acceptable response.
In practice, you'll almost never see this one, because most servers are configured simply to ignore the request's Accept headers and send a default response when confronted with a request they're unable to fulfill. The most likely scenario in which you'll actually receive an error 406 is the scenario in which no default response is available because the web server couldn't find its own configuration file.
