So uhh…. AWESOME

One of my favorite parts is the choreo EVERYTHING about the choreo was absolutely fantastic!! And Johnnys actor was such a great pick.

I had front row spots twards the side and after the end of act one and two my whole body was full of crumb rubber because that’s all on the floor of the stage, so cool!

Honestly the only part I didn’t like was the fact that Cherry went into Johnnys hospital room to talk to Ponyboy. But other than that this was such a phenomenal musical.

The best part? The fact that fuckin THOMAS HOWELL (MOVIE PONYBOY CURITS) was there and a few rows behind me!!! I tried to get my book signed but this worker there stopped anyone who tried. 😔

People say ‘oh my gosh Johnny and Dally are written in past tense!!’ But from what I can tell… everyone is. Maybe it’s specific parts but I still don’t get it.

Can someone please help me understand the socs?

I’ve read the book 2 times and the movie 3 times yet I can’t seem to understand them. Maybe it’s because we mostly see the greasers’ point of view but there’s a few key points I still have trouble understanding, and I would love other people’s insights/opinions.

1-Cherry says she doesn’t like the side of Bob that’s drunk and rude, as well as what she said about hating fights; yet she says if she ever sees Dally again (arguably the most ‘hood’ out of the main greasers) she’ll fall in love with him.

2- Randy’s conversation with Ponyboy. I understand the base layer of their conversation but I don’t really *understand* it you know?

3- Bobs reason for drinking. Yes, I understand he was in a way neglected his whole life and just wanted to be truly seen by his parents but at the same time that just has a hint of it being such a non-issue you know?

4- Cherrys last (?) interaction with Ponyboy (before the rumble). Maybe I don’t understand it because I read through it fast to get to the rumble on the first read; yet I still can’t seem to understand it. Mainly the reason why Pony thinks she’s pitying him.

Read The Outsiders in class…… broke me mentally😋 (my reading teacher can NOT catch a break)

Ok! So- I have a headcannon that Marvin’s ‘Highschool sweetheart’ was actually Cordelia!! Now you might be thinking “but she’s a lesbian!! How could she be into Marvin??” Wellll!! I (also have another headcannon in there) have an explanation!! I think in the song I Wear A Hat that during the song Dr. Charlotte was looking at Cordelia at the table! And that they met and then Cordelia realized she was a lesbian and Charlotte loves when Cordelia wears hats so they have a collection of hats in their house!!!

Do I have any proof to back up my claims?? No!! :D

if the theory that the scene blocks represent Marvin’s state of mind then that means the only scenes without it (when Whizzer is in the hospital) means that he hasn’t fully comprehend what was happening to him and that he doesn’t fully know what’s going on and what would happen to him.
