Let’s do a little recap of Amy Schumer’s racism, okay?

Amy Schumer joked about men of color being more likely to sexually harass vs YT men.

In her 2012 show “Mostly Sex Stuff,” Amy Schumer insulted African women’s names, called them “wild,” and performed a racist impersonation of Black folks.

Amy suggested that Latina women were “crazy” during the 2015 MTV Video Awards.

Once, Schumer said, “I used to date Hispanic guys, but now I prefer consensual” implying that all Hispanic men are rapists – a suggestion that mirrors the racism of Donald Trump.

In her latest stunt, Amy parodied Beyonce’s “Formation” music video which was originally a commentary on race and police brutality. She used a moment that celebrated Blackness and turned it into a whitewashed opportunity to make cash.

And then, someone sent me this tweet below of Amy’s anti-Asian racism.

But aye!! She’s a feminist, right? She’s down for the cause, right? She talks about body positivity and all that YT feminist jazz while she shits on POC, right?

Toward the end of the movie theres a few cheap transmisogynistic jokes that may make some people uncomfortable. Its not a spoiler but the segment happens just before the finale and has the two commentators from throughout the film making predictable and belaboured aspersions about a singing group from the Philippines. Its a fairly extended and completely unnecessary sequence where they make misgendering and out-of-place jokes using transphobic and racially insensitive terms like “ladyboys” and it unfortunately ruined for me what would have otherwise been a very beautiful finale. While I get that the whole point of the duo is to say radical and somewhat offensive things at various points throughout the movie, that particular segment was not radical but just unoriginal and unpleasant. 

FOR FUCK’S SAKE.

this is fucking neo colonialism, telling small immigrant owned businesses what they can and cannot serve in their own fucking restaurants. If you go into ANY of these places THERE IS A BIG HONKING DESCRIPTION NEXT TO THE ITEM LISTING TELLING YOU EXACTLY WHAT IT IS. NOBODY IS FORCING YOU TO EAT IT.

Then white people should ban eating their precious cavier. Goat. Sharks. Snails.

Like you think eating those are a delicacy and I’m just looking at you what? But hey whatever its food every culture has its own delicacies. So fuck off. Its a Pilipinx restaurant providing Pilipinx food. Don’t like it? Then don’t come in and eat it simple as that. White people have treated eating balut like some act of bravery to eat it and that they deserve an award and praise if they do but its a snack for nutrition because of the poverty in the Philippines and the lack of good meat. Now you are saying we are animal abusers because of what we eat?
