Finally finished my Lorelei Day fic! (I'm only a month late, it's fine)
Ascending Scale.
Lorelei/Yulia, Not Rated, about 2k words. One brief mention of suicide, but other than that, no warnings. It started as a shitpost about tone deaf people but then I got too invested in the Lorelei/Yulia side and here we are.

For abyss week here’s a ramble about one of my favorite parts of tales of the abyss and it’s just that it FEELS so big
It’s a game that came out originally in 2005, and it manages to have this charm of both a set plot and an AMAZING open world and really walks this fine line of too much open world and a single quest game. I think it comes from the writing of it moreso than the actual design of the world (and I LOVE Auldrant don’t get me wrong) but the way that the science and geopolitics is fully fleshed out just makes the world seem so much more real. It’s one thing to have a fantasy world with an open world model it’s another to have options that ARENT open to you as a player and you still wanting to speculate about what’s going on!! We obviously don’t see all of the parts of the cities—what does the rest of Chesedonia, or Baticul, or Grand Chokmah look like? Who were the other Fon masters? There are libraries you can access around the world, what other information might they contain? It just does such a great job of cohesively feeling like a loved in world
