weâre trying something new for this yearâs solangeloweek! hereâs a bit of explanation for two days that weâre very very excited about!
wip dump - a day for content creators of all mediums to post works in progress! maybe these are unfinished fics that youâd like to tease to your followers, or lineart for an unfinished art project. maybe youâll even use this day to tease something youâll post later in the week! wip dump can also count for abandoned projects that you might be proud of, but no longer have the motivation to finish.
weâre hoping that this day will be used as a way to encourage newer creators who donât feel confident posting work that isnât âperfectâ - because we all had to start somewhere! and this day should NOT encourage comments from non-creators, such as âplease continue!â or âwhereâs the rest?â because that is the opposite of encouraging!
collab day - this is a day intended for creators to create content based on other fanworks **WITH PERMISSION!!** from the original creator. This means artwork for your favorite fic, or a playlist to go along with your favorite piece of art. moodboards including / inspired by artwork, tiktok cosplays acting out scenes from a fic - anything youâd like, as long as you have the original creatorâs permission to remix their work! (psst: 99% of creators are going to be cool with remixes, so donât feel anxious about asking!)
fandom should be a fun, encouraging, and collaborative space, so weâre hoping to foster that energy with this yearâs solangloweek events!
